In 2023, the Company continued to deliver a rich pipeline of innovation for its proprietary and licensed brands, with key highlights including new licenses and partnerships, sustainable innovation, brand anniversaries and more!  

  

Exclusive License Agreements & Partnerships  


  • EssilorLuxottica and Moncler signed an exclusive licensing agreement that includes the design, production, and global distribution of Moncler eyewear, effective from January 2024. Leveraging EssilorLuxottica’s consolidated experience and constant innovation, the partnership will further elevate the Moncler Lunettes collections, known for their perfect blend of functionality and contemporary aesthetics, with a mix of frames suitable for both city and mountain living.  


  • With designs inspired from their shared dedication to excellence in one’s craft and appreciation for understated luxury, EssilorLuxottica and Roger Federer signed an exclusive licensing agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of eyewear between the Roger Federer and Oliver Peoples brands that will launch in the Spring of 2024.   


  • EssilorLuxottica and Jimmy Choo announced an exclusive license agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Jimmy Choo Eyewear. The agreement combines Jimmy Choo’s glamourous style and playfully daring spirit with the unique craftsmanship, innovation capabilities and expertise of EssilorLuxottica.  


  • EssilorLuxottica and Eastman Kodak Company signed a perpetual worldwide license agreement granting EssilorLuxottica the exclusive right to use the Kodak registered trademarks for products and services in connection with EssilorLuxottica’s business. Through this agreement, EssilorLuxottica will permanently add and further develop the Kodak brand in the full range of EssilorLuxottica product categories.  


  


Sustainability & Innovation   


  • With its latest eyewear collection for Spring/Summer 2023, Emporio Armani continued its sustainable journey with cutting-edge designs and bio-based materials, reducing the use of fossil-based raw materials. The effort to reduce dependency on fossil-based materials in favor of renewable ones is also seen in the collection’s packaging, with glasses delivered in special packaging made with at least 50% recycled materials, including polyester. The collection fully captures the brand's contemporary style with enhanced self-expression through eye-catching transparencies and intricate details.  


  • Marking World Clean-Up Day on September 16, the Company’s exclusive House Brand, DbyD, launched its first conscientious collection – called Re.Metal – made with 60% recycled metal sourced from electronic products and industrial scraps. Re.Metal is the result of many years of innovation and research, looking for ways to reinvent the market with an offer that is both accessible and raises the bar for the use of recycled materials.    

  


Brand Anniversaries  


  • This year Vogue Eyewear celebrated 50 years of fashion with a dedicated capsule, a new special logo and a hot pink pack. Including original 70s stars and bold profile glamour, as well as the easy-to-wear looks of the 2K Gen and trendy geometries or glam-chic retro shapes of the 2000s, the 50th anniversary capsule framed each decade of Vogue Eyewear with style, revamping each one with a liberal dash of celebratory pink.    


  

New Collections & Campaigns  


  • After announcing a ten-year licensing agreement in 2022, EssilorLuxottica and Swarovski have now unveiled their first premium eyewear collection. From statement shapes and brilliantly faceted crystals to sleek metals and signature touches, each piece captures the bold and joyful elegance of Swarovski. The eyewear range launches with a stunning visual campaign, shot by the critically acclaimed fashion photographer Steven Meisel.  


  • The Dolce&Gabbana 2023 Eyewear Campaign created by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott, the London-based duo behind some of the most iconic imagery in contemporary fashion, stars Kylie Jenner, a successful entrepreneur and one of the most followed and popular figures in the global star system. 


  • The STARCK BIOTECH PARIS Spring/Summer 2023 collection paid special attention to pure elegance and high technology thanks to its patented BIOLINK hinge. Thanks to this technology, each frame in the collection offers 360°of movement for unique comfort and flexibility.
