Ray-Ban Stories win two iF Design Awards

Ray-Ban Stories was awarded with two prestigious awards at the iF Design Award 2022 by an international jury of experts.


Ray-Ban Stories, the next generation of smart glasses part of the EssilorLuxottica product portfolio, received two awards, including a Gold Award in the Product discipline and a Design Award in the User Experience disciple at the recent International Forum (iF) Design Award. This year, out of approximately 11,000 entries received, 73 applicants (less than one percent) of all submissions received the iF Gold Awards, which is the highest recognition in the competition. The globally recognized awards celebrate products that excel in design, and the winners are selected by jurors from around the world.


iF Design Award


The iF Design Award, presented by International Forum Design (a German marketing consulting firm), has been recognized as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design. Founded in 1953 as Die Gute Industrieform e.V, the iF Design Award conducts comprehensive evaluations of differentiation and impact, among others, in a total of nine categories — Product, Packaging, Communication, Professional Concept, Interior Architecture, Architecture, Service Design, User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI). The iF label is renowned worldwide for outstanding design services, and the iF Design Award is one of the most important design prizes in the world.


Ray-Ban Stories


Resulting from the collaboration between Ray-Ban and Meta (formerly Facebook), Ray-Ban Stories are the next generation of smart glasses. They include a dual integrated 5MP camera to take photo and video; discreet open-ear speakers to listen, and a three-microphone audio array to deliver rich voice and sound transmission for calls and videos. Ray-Ban Stories can also be connected to Facebook View app (iOS and Android), which enables users to import and edit content captured on the smart glasses, with the possibility to share it on any social app stored on their phone. Consumers no longer have to choose between technology and fashion – they can truly live in the moment and stay connected with the world while wearing their favorite pair of Ray-Ban.
