Persol recently celebrated its artisans with a presentation of its Craftsmanship Campaign at its historic Lauriano plant in Turin, Italy. Featuring some of Persol’s most experienced artisans, the campaign showcases how the brand embodies Italian craftsmanship with unmatched luxury and timeless aesthetics.

For over a century, Persol has been manufacturing sunglasses and optical frames with artisanal Italian craftsmanship at its heart. On July 15, the brand celebrated all the artisans and people involved in the production of its collections with the presentation of its new Craftsmanship Campaign at its historic Lauriano plant in Italy. Focusing on Italian craftsmanship, the campaign highlights the story behind each product, focusing on the well-known 649, the icon of Persol, as well as the passion of the real artisans who work on handcrafting the brand’s iconic frames.

Persol has been crafting sunglasses by hand since 1917, and throughout the years, the brand has perfected the art of eyewear manufacturing. Celebrated for its artisanal brilliance, the brand's commitment to quality is unmistakable, from the skillfully crafted acetate to the intricate hinges.

The new Craftsmanship campaign is an ode to Persol’s rich heritage, crafted for today by local Italian artisans, whose expertise is handed down through the generations. Each frame is a celebration of the brand’s unwavering dedication to detail and quality. The three-part video campaign focuses on:

“The Making Of” which tells the story behind the production steps that bring each pair of sunglasses to life
“The Masters” which features an interview with the key people who personally handcraft Persol with their own personal touch and experience
“The Archive” episode focuses on the history of the 649 series, which ranks among the most iconic Persol sunglasses.
