Nuance Audio: SILMO d’Or win
On September 27, SILMO 2025 hosted its 32nd Silmo d’Or Awards ceremony which honors 12 winners across key eyewear categories: designer frames, technological innovation, sports eyewear, vision solutions, and smart eyewear. This year, Nuance Audio won a SILMO d’OR in the ‘Smart Eyewear’ category. The win reflects the Company’s vision to revolutionize the underserved hearing solutions market by eliminating the obstacles that have stood in the way of adoption of traditional hearing aids.
A Glimpse into the Future of Vision
This year, the EssilorLuxottica booth took visitors into a ‘Vision Lab of the Future,’ offering them an immersive experience that highlighted our long-term vision. The design featured three distinct zones—’The Eye’ with a spotlight on the Group’s expertise in optics, vision, and medical assistance through its advanced instruments; ‘The Vision’ which showcased its comprehensive lens portfolio, with top brands such as Shamir, Nikon and Essilor Stellest lenses; as well as ‘The Wearables’ where visitors discovered the latest from Ray-Ban Meta, Oakley Meta and Nuance Audio, its leading brands in wearable technology. The booth also featured a vibrant digital wall that showcased the Group’s products with immersive interactivity, merging innovation and technology.
Each zone was equipped with interactive stations, augmented‑reality displays and live‑demo labs. Oakley, for instance, offered visitors the opportunity to test the new Oakley META Vanguard performance AI glasses in real-life cycling conditions. Compatible with Garmin smartwatches and cycling computers, the glasses offer real-time health insights and alerts while training. There was also a ‘wear‑and‑test’ zone for the Company’s newest Essilor Instruments product range and a demo area for Espansione, Cellview and Heidelberg, an illustration of its med-tech journey.
Thought‑leadership on the floor
Beyond the hardware, the Company took part in “Silmo Talk” sessions. Topics ranged from “The Power of Women in Optical Innovation” — featuring panelists such as Olga Prenat, Global head of Medical and Professional Affairs, EssilorLuxottica — to “See Better, Live better: when Smart Glasses Transform Usage”.
