EssilorLuxottica’s return to the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore marked a significant milestone as it unveiled exciting brand innovations to help drive renewed growth for sunglasses.


Returning to the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore – the region’s leading annual duty free and travel retail summit – for the first time since 2019, EssilorLuxottica exhibited new developments from some of its  key global brands that highlight the Company’s commitment to taking the sunglasses category to new heights within the Travel Retail channel.


The APAC region holds immense importance for the industry, and EssilorLuxottica was excited to meet customers and present its groundbreaking brand innovations for eyewear set to be released in the upcoming months. The Company is committed to creating designs specifically tailored to the Asian market, with its goal being to lead in innovation and stay ahead of industry trends.


Diverse showcase of key global brands

Among the brands showcased during the event, the Group unveiled Ray-Ban's revolutionary Reverse Collection, which includes unisex sunglass styles featuring an impossible new lens, completely reversed. An exceptional feat of advanced engineering, the shape of the lens shifts from traditional convex to concave without sacrificing optical precision, thanks to innovative production technology. The result is a disruptive design signature that optimizes its refractive, astigmatic, prismatic and resolving powers.


 EssilorLuxottica also introduced Burberry’s limited-edition purple eyewear model dedicated to the travel retail market.


Impactful designs & digital developments

The Group welcomed visitors to a versatile, modular design booth with impressive luxury finishes that included impactful designs for in-store display units and premium digital display screens for further engagement.


Visitors could virtually try on sunglasses using its Smart Shopper application plus discover its Leonardo digital training platform for customers and in-store staff.
