Paul du Saillant was designated by Essilor.
Paul du Saillant is Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) of EssilorLuxottica and Chairman and CEO of Essilor.
He joined Essilor in 2008, after 20 years spent at Air Liquide, where he held operational and strategic leadership roles in the United States and Europe, across a wide range of fields including R&D and engineering. Prior to that, Paul du Saillant served for 5 years as Managing Director of Belgian Group Lhoist.
Over 12 years at Essilor, he has been responsible for managing key corporate functions of the Group. In July 2010, when Hubert Sagnières became CEO, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer alongside Laurent Vacherot. He was responsible for both large geographic zones (Europe, Asia and Latin America) and cross-functional global functions (Human Resources, R&D, industrial activities, transformation program, IT, etc.), then of Essilor’s Lens business.
